The Holiday Blues

The holidays can be a challenge for individuals suffering from depression. However, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, suicides occur in December just as often as the rest of the year but it remains a major public health problem. Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death for all Americans. Each year, more than 36,000 people take their own lives. In addition, more than 374,000 are treated in emergency departments for self-inflicted injuries. In this podcast, Vikki Luna and Lisa Casarez give us some insight on ways to create an environment where you can start to thrive and leave the blues behind.
